New Local Company targets Garden Crime.

A new Crime Busting website for gardeners has been launched this month to provide Information, Services and Solutions to help beat Garden Crime.

Gardien Ltd. the Cheshire based Garden Security Company is the brainchild of Garden Antiques expert Bill Seddon and his business partner, computer specialist Keith Marsden.

Bill, who has developed their sister company “English Garden Antiques” over the past 10 years comments “I know from my own customers who have become garden crime victims and from recent surveys by the Police and the Insurance Industry that thefts from gardens is a growing and worrying trend. Finding quality advice, information and assistance to combat this problem has not been easy- until now.”

The Association of British Insurers recently predicted that 1 in 7 gardens would be targeted by thieves with gardeners facing a bill of £100 million thanks to thieves and vandals.

The new Gardien website (www.garden-security.co.uk) will offer a wide range of services from generic crime prevention advice to specialist information on security products and services, such as CCTV, Perimeter Protection Systems, Physical Protection Measures, Property Marking and Signage. There are also useful sections on Retrieval of Stolen Goods, Garden Antique Valuation, Inventory and Cataloguing, together with a dedicated section on Insurance Advice and Products. A consultancy service is also available for professional and trade organisations as well as private clients.

Stop Press news from Gardien is the installation of the latest CCTV technology – initially developed to combat terrorism, which provides Garden Intruders Alerts and instant warning of the attempted removal of garden possessions.

Gardien has recently appointed former Police and Security expert Mick Gains QPM as Security Director. He joins the team with a wealth of experience for which he was awarded the Queens Police Medal for Distinguished Service and National Contribution to Crime Prevention.
