Press Release: Waging War on Tommy T-Leaf.

Free support for Garden Crime Victims.

Gardien Ltd, the UK's No. 1 website for Garden Security, www.garden-security.co.uk has just announced a unique initiative to help combat the increase in garden crime.

Bill Seddon, MD of Gardien, states that "There is a widely held misconception - based on the law of averages, that once Tommy T-Leaf has plundered your plants, tools, garden antiques etc. you will somehow then be statistically safer - and that lightning will not strike twice. Wrong! Our experience shows that, unless preventative steps are taken following a garden theft, Tommy is more likely to return to a known "soft target". Accordingly, we are inviting all victims of garden crime to contact us via our website with any queries relating to their specific security issues, which will be dealt with - free of charge, and on a personal basis. There is a vast amount of free information already on our site, covering such aspects as shed security, property marking, plant protection, garden antiques, retrieval of stolen goods etc. but we will make time available to deal with the concerns of garden crime victims at a time when they are feeling most vulnerable”.

Sadly, the days when we used to deliberately leave our homes open for visitors and tradespeople disappeared many years ago, and home alarms have become the accepted norm. Attention now needs to turn to the surroundings since the typical value of garden possessions is more than enough to attract the criminal fraternity and they are enjoying some very easy pickings with little to deter them.

People unfortunate enough to have suffered already will be able to share their experience confidentially with Gardien, who can then build up a knowledge base so that the fullest possible advice can be offered to the general public. A very simple contact form can be reached from the “Victim Support” item on Gardien's Home Page.
